Should withstand 2KV (rms) for one minute
Should not exceed 45 C (At ambient 35 C) after 40,000 ON-OFF operations on load
Should not exceed 20mv (in 6 Amp and 16 Amp accessories) after 40,000 operations on load. MEANWHILE NOT SPECIFIED UNDER NEW SPECIFICATION IS : 3854 : 1997.
Should not be less than 100M ohms (Before humidity treatment).
Switches should be tested at 40,000 operations (ON-OFF) on load.
Specified only at 0.4 Nm impact energy. (Hammer stroke test from a distance of 170mm).
The switches and sockets are required to be tested at 130% of the rated current and 110% of the rated voltage for 500 continuous operations, with an interval of 30 seconds.
The outer body of the moulding should be heated to the temperature of 125 C for 60 minutes. Therefore the ball pressure test should not make an impression deepeer than 2mm.
This test is preformed on parts of insulating material, which might be exposed to thermal stress due to electric effects and deterioration shall not unduly be affected by abnormal heat and by fire at a temperature of 650 C.
Performance of SSK Modular switches tested at our lab
It withstood 3KV (rms) for 2 minutes.
It did not increase 14 C after 50,000 operations in 6 Amp accessories and 18 C after 50,000 operations in 16Amp accessories.
Not exceeded 7mv after 1,20,000 ON-OFF operations in 6 Amp and 9mv in 16 Amp. (After this endurance test the products were found in good working conditions.
Found more than 500M ohms (after humidity treatment).
We tested our switches at 1,20,000 operations on load. (Even after this test, switches worked properly).
Tested at a maximum impact energy 1 Nm for all rating and designs. (Hammer stroke test from a distance of 270mm).
Our switches and sockets were tested at 130% of the rated current and 110% of the rated voltage for 1500 operations and were found to be in good working conditions thereafter.
There was no sign of any impression on the body (insulation material) of our products, after heating at 125 C for 100 minutes.
Was not effected by abnormal heat and fire at 850 C.
